*Raised eyebrow* please tell me you are just joking. Yes, you should have a 401(k). You should contribute at least enough to max out the company matching. If you have the ability to get a Roth, you should also get one of those. If you have a 401(k), it is seen as an asset when you want to buy a house later. It's a good thing.
I had one working retail actually, sad as that may be. I put enough into it to be able to cash it out and buy a computer when I left that company. I realize the fool-hardiness of cashing a 401(k) and paying yucky taxes on it, but that $2000 helped an awful lot during school.
You should totally start one. It's a very grown-up thing to do. :)
